A traditional Telecaster pickup set built around the character of early and late-1950s examples that I’ve always liked. Simple, reliable construction using materials and methods I use for my custom instruments
Construction
• Alnico V magnets
• 43 gauge plain enamel magnet wire
• Hand-wound individually Potted with shellac
Bridge Pickup
Underwound approximately 10% below a classic Broadcaster bridge pickup to soften the edge and sweeten the tone.
Neck Pickup
Wound to the general character of late-1950s examples I enjoy.
